CHENANGO COUNTY – On Wednesday, State Senator James L. Seward (R - Oneonta) announced $75,000 in grant funding will be awarded to local domestic violence programs.

“These community programs provide vital services for those in dire need, who often have nowhere else to turn,” said Senator Seward. “We are fortunate to have so many local organizations providing help to vulnerable individuals, and I am pleased to assist them in their efforts to make our communities safer.”

Of the $75,000, $5,000 will be awarded to Catholic Charities of Chenango County.

“We are very thankful to Senator Seward for providing the additional funding required to continue these much needed services,” said Robin Cotter, Executive Director at Catholic Charities of Chenango County.
