Early morning Norwich fire leads to arson arrest

NORWICH – A Norwich woman was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning and stands accused of intentionally setting fire to her home.

Pamela S. Knapp was arrested for third-degree arson, a Class C felony, resisting arrest, and obstruction of government administration after she allegedly intentionally damaged her home at 48 Pleasant Street in Norwich by the use of fire or explosives, reported police.

The Norwich Fire Department – along with Chenango County Bureau of Fire cause and origin team, Plymouth Fire Department, and Oxford Fire Department – responded to the fire at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday morning.
