Lady Bobcats rip into Harpursville-Afton volleyball

HARPURSVILLE – In a one-sided showdown, Bainbridge-Guilford showed their superiority by being on the road and taking a 3-0 win.

That superiority shined through in the first set of the Wednesday, September 13, match – the lady Bobcats cruised to a 25-7 win over the lady Hornets. Winning the next two sets with almost nearly the same ease – B-G took set two at 25-12 and set three at 25-13.

Bainbridge-Guilford was led in the road win by Erica Selfridge with six aces, three kills, and 10 aces. Abigail Selfridge finished the game for B-G with four aces, six kills, five assists and two digs – while Zamira Caldwell managed seven aces, three kills and one block. Makenzie Drown added four kills in the match.

Harpursville-Afton defended their court to the best of their abilities – but a true mismatch in skill was apparent. The Hornets saw Stefanie Allen take the lead with two aces and one assist. Following Allen was Tori Johnson with one dig and one kill, Oliviah Harris-Morris with one dig and finally Katelyn Rooker with one kill.
