Afton field hockey takes another victim

WINDSOR – With a deferential in shots at 24, the Afton Crimson Knights Field Hockey team crushed Windsor at 6-1.
With four athletes scoring, Afton made 29 shots on goal and 12 corners – keeping Windsor’s Alivia Rounds busy between the posts, as she made 26 saves.
The Black Knights of Windsor managed just one goal off of their five shots on goal and two corners.
Casey East and Madison Baciuska each snagged two goals apiece – with East having an assist as well. McKenzie Hoyt and Makaela Mills tacked a goal on each for the Crimson Knights.
Afton raced to a big 5-0 lead in the first half of play, before going 1-1 in scoring with Windsor in the second half. Windsor’s lone goal came when Maddy Dierman assisted Grace Deatti.
Taking the win between the goalposts for Afton was Makayla Houle, who needed to just make three saves.
Next up for Afton field hockey, they will be at Walton on Monday, September 18, at 4:30 p.m.
