Marauders boy’s XC finishes fourth at Waterville

WATERVILLE- The Sherburne-Earlville Marauder cross-country team turned a corner this season at their recent meet at Waterville. On Thursday September 14, the Marauders finished in the middle of the pack out of the six complete teams competing. S-E defeated Waterville and Poland on their way to a fourth place finish.
The highest placing Marauder in the race was Adam Aldrich. Aldrich navigated his way across the tough Waterville 5000 kilometer course in 12th place with a time of 22:15.23. John Maltzen was right behind his teammate in 13th place with a time of 22:28.1. Ben Britton was the third S-E harrier to cross the tape with a time of 24:22.8 good for 17th place. Cooper Mott was the next Marauder to get into the mix with a 24th place finish and a time of 28:33. Connor Foster was the fifth Sherburne-Earlville team member to finish the race with a time of 28:45, completing the team scoring in the process. Matthew Ryan was the final S-E Marauder to overcome the terrain finishing in 34th place with a time of 33:04.02.
The Marauders return to action on September 20 when they play host to Adirondack with a 4:30 start time.
