Deposit-Hancock takes advantage of a rough outing for Oxford Golf

HANCOCK – With one player shooting a score over 55, Deposit-Hancock controlled the match against the visiting Oxford Blackhawks, leading themselves to a 256-290 victory.
The top medalist for the evening was Deposit-Hancock’s Brennan Karcher, who recorded a 46 to be the lowest of the match. Deposit-Hancock had Mason Karcher, Roger Newman and Brenna Gleim all come in with a total of 51. Josiah Simmons would grab the final spot for Deposit-Hancock with a score of 57.
Oxford was led by Jason Davis’ 48 after nine. Finishing just one stroke behind Davis was teammate Jake Marrone. Garrett Depew grabbed the third spot in the top five for Oxford with a 51 on the back nine. Christian Paden (69) and Liam O’Brien (73) grabbed the two open spots for the Blackhawks top-five.
The Blackhawks will look to recover on Tuesday, September 19 as they travel to Afton-Harpursville. The Tuesday match is slated to start at 4:30 p.m.
