Lady Blackhawks overcome by Sidney’s five goals

OXFORD — The visiting Warriors netted five goals to claim the victory over host Oxford, 5-1 as a final.
Lady Blackhawk keeper Lexi Kohlhepp saved 12 of Sidney’s 17 shots on goal. Kohlhepp recorded one of those saves from a penalty kick.
Oxford wouldn’t go down without a fight as they took 15 shots of their own. Hannah Ryan connected with teammate Emily Barrows for the assist as Barrows found the back of the net for Oxford. The goal is Barrow’s second in just as many games.
Christina Worden of Sydney snagged a Hattrick and one assist. Savannah Baldwin recorded the other two goals for the lady warriors. All five of Sidney’s goals were assisted by different members of the team.
Oxford’s home again on Thursday, September 21 as they will look to take down the Bulldogs of Delhi. Kick off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
