Undefeated Sidney swings past the Blackhawks strong showing

OXFORD – Despite the Blackhawks top five playing very well, Sidney remained undefeated on the season as the final score of the match was 245-259.
The Warriors’ Corbin Constable took home the top honors of the match, recording a final score of 44. Dominic Hartwell (48) and Ryan Cole (49) played well while visiting Bluestone as both brought home a score in the 40’s, helping push their team to victory.
Jason Davis recovered nicely from his previous match as he was the Blackhawks top medalist for the evening. Teammate Jake Marrone fell just one stroke behind Davis for the second spot in Oxford’s top-five, finishing with a 45.
Garrett Depew continued his good play for the home team as he posted a 47. Christian Paden played his way in the Oxford’s top-five with a round of 58 and Liam O’Brien finished out the scorecard with a 65 in the final spot.
“Sidney is solid from their one spot through to their six. Makes them tough to beat,” said Oxford Head Coach Lance Thorne. “Anytime we are in the 250’s, I’m Happy.”
Oxford travels to Red Pines on Tuesday afternoon, September 27, as they take on the Unadilla Valley Storm, winners of their last two matches. Teams will be teeing off at 4:30 p.m.
