Norwich Soccer outshoots Black Knights despite 3-1 loss Wednesday

NORWICH – For all intensive purposes, the Norwich Purple Tornado boys soccer team played as if they won the game – however, it was a 3-1 loss for Norwich on Wednesday.

Norwich secured 14 shots on goal – played a newly designed defense – while their goalkeeper, Dakota Franklin made five saves.

“I don’t think I have ever seen a Norwich team play as well as this team, ever, in my career. I don’t think I have ever seen boys play together as brothers the way these boys play,” said Norwich head coach Scottie Decker.

Norwich yielded just six shots on goal on Wednesday, September 27 – however, Windsor managed nine corners in their efforts, out perfroming Norwich who managed just two.

Down 1-0 at the half, Windsor snagged the opening strike on the day.

“First half we were down 1-0, then we came back 1-1. We’re playing right. We’re passing, we’re working triangles, we just have to hit the net,” said coach Decker.
