Lady Crusaders go toe-to-toe with Seneca Falls

SENECA – The Valley Heights Lady Crusaders ended Friday’s contest in a 1-1 as they traveled to Seneca Falls to face the Lady Tigers.
Last time Valley Heights matched up against the Tigers, the outcome was in favor of Seneca Falls, 2-0.
In the first half, the Lady Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as Tessa Frascatore fired it past the Crusaders keeper.
But the Crusaders fought back hard as Emily Davis had a beautiful shot from the right side that sailed over the goalie and into the far corner, making the tie 1-1.
The score remained 1-1 at the end of the half.
Davis had four more shots on goal in the second half as Madison VanAlthuis added those four shots. But nothing found the back of the net to bring them to the lead.
“We knew we had a tough game ahead of us,” said Valley Heights head coach Eliza Gieger. “We fought very well and played hard. Even though the game ended in a tie, I felt like we controlled the field the majority of the game.”
