Trojan soccer club claims another victory behind Taft’s two scores

GREENE – A halftime score of 1-0, and a final of 2-0 – Greene’s varsity boys soccer team was still shaking off some rust from the weekend with their latest win.
Despite just scoring twice in their Monday, October 2, win at home over Walton, the Trojans secured 15 shots on goal and six corners.
Walton was blanked in the game but had two shots on goal and two corners.
Ripping into the Warrior offense – for both unassisted goals – was Brad Taft.
Taking the win in the net for Greene was none other than Kevin Gyurik, who made two saves. Walton’s goalkeeper secured 14 saves in their road loss.
Greene boys soccer (11-1 overall), will play next at home when they host Unadilla Valley on Wednesday, October 4, at 6:30 p.m.
