Norwich takes home fourth at the Class B Championship
APALACHIN – The Tornado golf team participated in the Class B Championship at the Links Hiawatha Landing on Tuesday. Norwich captured a fourth place finish for the event with an overall team score of 464.
The six members of Norwich played the full 18-hole course with the top five scores added together to get the final team score.
Alex Gage of the Tornado, placed fifth atop the leaderboard with his individual score of 83. His score was Norwich’s team low for the event.
Norwich’s Kai Sheer finished with a 93 on the day while teammate Connor Nial recorded a 94. Just two strokes behind him was their colleague A.J. Little. Griffin Clipston shot a 98 for his 18-holes to round out Norwich’s top-five score card.
Max Marson was the Tornado’s sixth golfer as scored a 113 for his round.
Norwich hits the course again Thursday against Oneonta at their home course of Canasawacta Country Club for the last match of the regular season at 4 p.m. Head Coach David Branham will be honoring his two senior golfers.
