Raiders defends home field over the Marauders

CANASTOTA – The Canastota Raiders have always proved to be a tough bunch in all realms of the sporting world – Sherburne-Earlville’s field hockey squad found that out on Tuesday with a 2-0 road loss.

S-E’s field hockey team ventured to Canastota for a Tuesday, October 3, game against the Raiders.

S-E left some time later with a 2-0 loss on their record – fighting valiantly nonetheless in the loss.

Canastota’s number three, Johnson, recorded the first goal of the night at 11:26 in the first half – a mark that took the halftime score to 1-0 as well.

In the second half, late in the game, Canastota’s Milligan, number one, sent in a shot that found the back of the cage for their second goal of the game.
