Oneonta scores four in route to win over Tornado Soccer Friday

NORWICH – As they connected on three shots in the first half, Oneonta netted a fourth in the second to defeat the host Purple Tornado 4-1 on Friday afternoon.

Oneonta took 14 shots and 14 corners during the contest. Norwich was only allowed six shots while attempting one corner.

Tanner Beang led the Yellowjackets as he found the back of the net twice throughout the game. Beang also added an assist to his stat line.

Gabe Gawronski finished a pass from Mujuni Mutabiilwa for Norwich’s lone goal of the contest.

Oneonta also tacked on goals from Dylan Breed and Matt Shultz as they had one apiece. Shultz assisted one of Oneonta’s goals.

The Tornado keeper, Dakota Franklin stopped five in front of the net.
