Eagles soar past Hornets in 3-0 shutout
DEPOSIT – With one final game left in the regular season, the Harpursville-Afton Hornets need to rebound quickly following their 3-0 loss to Deposit-Hancock on Wednesday.
The struggling Hornets failed to climb over the 11-point mark in any of the three sets played.
The Eagles sliced open the Hornet Hive with an opening set win at 25-8. This 1-0 lead quickly turned into 3-0 for Deposit-Hancock, after taking two sets for wins, both at 25-11.
For Deposit-Hancock in their home win on October 11, Abby Chase had three kills, 10 aces, and six digs. Teammates Trinity Crawson managed two kills and two assists, Haleigh Nugent claimed nine aces – while Klamath had three assists.
