Sidney Volleyball sweeps Greene in three sets Tuesday
SIDNEY – The Lady Warriors of Sidney topped Greene in three straight sets on Tuesday in a MAC Playoff match.
The first set was dominated by the Warriors as they took down the Trojans 25-13. But Greene did fight back.
In an exciting set two, Greene improved from the first but took the loss by a two point differential. The third and final set went the same way as Sidney won 25-21, taking the overall win for the match.
Juliet Gagliardo had one ace, three kills and an assist for Sidney while teammates Baylee Jones recorded three aces and four kills and Amber Rogers scored stats on three aces and 9 assists.
Makenzie Lawrene led Greene with five kills and Kira Bush posted three assists.
Sidney will face Unadilla Valley next while the Trojans will take on Deposit/Hancock. Both matches are scheduled to take place on Thursday along with all other MAC Volleyball Playoff matches.
