Driver in Bainbridge accident dies from injuries

BAINBRIDGE – A driver who was seriously injured in an accident in Bainbridge on Wednesday evening has died according to New York State Police.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 206 Wednesday involving a Mitsubishi Eclipse and a pick-up truck. Police report the Eclipse struck the passenger side of the pick-up truck, resulting in the driver of the Eclipse being airlifted to the hospital where their injuries proved to be fatal.

While New York State Police would not disclose the name of the individual as of press time Friday, NYSP Spokesman Nathan Riegal said he could confirm a two-vehicle accident with the driver of the vehicle at fault now deceased.
