NHS senior cheerleaders return from Disney World
ORLANDO, Fl. – After months of fundraising made it possible, four Norwich High School senior cheerleaders have returned from performing in the Varsity Spirit Spectacular in Orlando, Fl. –– a parade that took place right in the heart of Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
NHS seniors Shelby Rose, Karissa Prindle, Brianna Kempf, and Kalliann Harrison – along with 800 other select cheerleaders from around the country – performed in the choreographed parade by the Universal Cheerleading Association on December 1.
In addition to performing in the parade, Rose, Prindle, Kempf, and Harrison were also able to visit Disney's Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot amusement parks as part of their trip, complete with Fast Pass tickets.
The four seniors said they spent most of their summer and every week in October fundraising for the opportunity to participate in the Varsity Spirit Spectacular, and each expressed their sincerest thanks to those who helped the girls get to Disney World.
The cheerleaders would like to thank their parents, the Norwich Elks Lodge, the NHS cheerleaders boosters club, and the Norwich community for their generosity and making their trip possible.
