EDMESTON – State police arrested an Edmeston man on Thursday for seven counts of rape in the second degree, and six counts of criminal sexual act in the second degree––all felonies.

In addition to the felonies, William J. Bateman, 46, was also arrested for the misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child after troopers say they were advised of an incident that occurred in Otsego County.
