Oxford honors senior bowlers by sweeping Sidney

NORWICH – Friday afternoon, Oxford’s head coach Lance Thorne honored his nine seniors before the match while the bowlers and their teammates celebrated with a sweep over Sidney by both the girls and boys teams.
The Blackhawks took all three games and the pin totals on the boys side behind Dakota Simpson’s high game 263 and a three-game series high of 625.
Ricky Hathaway and Tanner Tefft both finished with 400 series for the match. Hathaway ended his last home match with a 488 while Tefft recorded a 453.
The Lady Blackhawks remained perfect as they were led by Savannah Beech’s high-series of 576.
Eric Howard rolled a 573 series and Destiny Beang ended her evening with a 543. Beech also recorded a game-high 220 in the match.
Both the boys and girls will be in action again tonight when they travel to Bainbridge to take on the Bobcats. The match is scheduled for a 3:45 p.m. start.
