Club Duel Pee-Wee Wrestling has successful weekend
Club Duel, Pee Wee Wrestling continues to strengthen their endurance by wrestling back-to-back tournaments at Waverly, NY on January 27 and Dolgeville, NY on the 28. Club Duel would like to recognize all the kids that wrestled this weekend for a great job well done, but would like to announce that Edward “Eddie” Puschel from Lebanon, NY has risen from the shadows with a first-place finish. Although Eddie has wrestled in a couple of tournaments this year placing within the top five.
Until now, he has not been able to overcome the extremely physical and well experienced division that he is in. Great wrestling is expected of Eddie this season and is looked at to wrestle for Club Duel in the Nationals. Although Eddie has done himself, his team, and his family proud, he was accompanied by his coaches and teammates every step of the way.
At no surprise, Luke Hull from Hubbardsville, NY and Jacob Hill from Lebanon, NY finished in first place and continues to attract the spectator’s eyes with their outstanding performance within the final bouts.
Brayden Bruno from Smyrna, NY wrestled every match with determination to secure second place. JJ Fischer from Sherburne, NY Battles his way to third place with perseverance, proving that he belongs at the top of the competition. While Abigail Simons from Sherburne, NY continues to show promise every week on the mat with fifth and sixth place finishes, it was her older sister, Lillie Simons from Sherburne, NY, who has prevailed above previous endeavors with her first third place finish.
In conclusion, Carnell Phetteplace from Earlville, NY may be struggling with the change of age group and level of experience, but continues to display a warrior’s mentality by fighting every minute of every round and not allowing his opponents to pin him thus placing him within the top five with a fourth place finish.
