NORWICH – Now is the time to submit your application to be an exhibitor in the 24th Annual Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival, September 8th & 9th, 2018. Applications must be post–marked by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9th for consideration in the first round of jurying. Late applications may be accepted at the discretion of the jury where space is available.

Full details and an artist application are available for download by visiting www.colorscape.org or the festival’s Facebook page. If you have questions, contact Peggy Finnegan, Visual Arts Coordinator, at 607-316-3212 or by e-mail to info@colorscape.org.

Colorscape is recognized as one of the most artist-friendly festivals in central New York. In fact, Sunshine Artist: America’s Premier Art and Craft Show Magazine detailed Colorscape’s exceptional commitment to its artists – in their own words – in its February 2015 issue.

Based on a 10-point scale, Colorscape management received a 9.9 overall rating, artist treatment (10.0), and artist amenities (8.8). Other aspects of the event also received eight-or-better ratings: attendance, advertising, quality of work, balance of mediums, prestige of show, layout, load-in/out, and parking. Artists also reported respectable sales figures.

As one artist commented in the article, “(This is) probably my favorite show because it is a show for artists by artists, and we are treated remarkably well by the management, volunteers, and community.”

Colorscape takes place in the parks in downtown Norwich, NY. Only 125 spaces are available with applications arriving daily. Colorscape is always looking for new artists to keep our visitors interested, enthusiastic and buying, so get your application in today for the best chance to be a part of this high-quality arts event.

Colorscape is a free juried exhibition of arts and fine crafts in an interactive atmosphere featuring artist demonstrations, literary, dance, music and arts activities for all ages, student art exhibit, competitive poetry slam and creative food vending. Entertainment on three stages is arranged by Night Eagle Productions.

Colorscape is made possible, in part, by the Broome, Chenango & Otsego Decentralization Program, administered by the Chenango Arts Council and made possible by NYSCA with the support of Governor Cuomo and the state legislature.
