6 All-American BMX riders podium in Owego
OWEGO – The kids of All-American BMX were on the track Saturday, March 3. A total six members raced at Grippen Park BMX and all placed in the top of their age level class.
Finishing in first place of the 9-and-under novice class was Liam ‘Bad to the Bone’ Ballin. Teammates Camyrn ‘Crazy Legs’ Searfoss brought home a second place finish while Timmy ‘the Boss’ White raced his way to third.
Patrick ‘the Beast’ White raced in two different classes. In the 11-and-under intermediate class, the Beast finished on top of the podium. In crusier class at the 12-and-under age, he snagged a second place finish.
Keegan Hagar, the oldest competitor to race this past Saturday, placed third in 15-and-under expert class.
While Hagar was the oldest to race for the All-American BMX team, Vinny ‘Rapid Redline’ Lawson was the youngest. Rapid Redline also took home a third place finished in the 8-and-under expert class.
Next on the schedule of the All-American BMX team is more races at Grippen Park BMX on Saturday, March 10, followed by Sunday.
The Grippen Park BMX Winter Series will wind down at the end of March. Shortly after the series is over, the Spring racing season will start a week after.
