"Southern Hospitality" by Norwich Theater Company this weekend
NORWICH – The Norwich Theater Company, Inc. invites you to come and see the third and final play in a trilogy that began with "Dearly Beloved" and then "Christmas Belles" and is ending now with the family-friendly comedy play "Southern Hospitality" by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten.
The show will be live on stage at the Martin Kappel Theater on Friday March 23 and Saturday March 24 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m.
The Futrelle sisters – Frankie, Twink, Honey Raye and Rhonda Lynn – are in trouble again, but this time their problem is the biggest it has ever been. Their beloved hometown of Fayro, Texas is in danger of disappearing, and it's up to them to save it from extinction.
Frankie Futrelle-Dubberly is at her wits end with her troublesome twin boys while her husband, Dub, is going through a mid-life crises just before the arrival of his wicked old Aunt Iney. Twink is engaged to Deputy John Curtis Buntner and can't wait to march him down the aisle, however unwilling he may be! Honey Raye is fighting for the spotlight once again with the local town florist, Geneva Musgrave, to save the town and bring in a salsa factory. But how the Futrelles and their friends including sweet, simple Reynard Chisum will pull together and save their town is bound to bring complete comedic entertainment.
Director Richard Heim, who holds the title of Treasurer for the company, as well as Facilities Committee Chair, and has directed all 3 of the plays, says "This is the final chapter of the Futrelle sister's saga, but don't worry. If you haven't seen the other shows, you'll still have a great time. This show stands alone as a very funny and worth-seeing program!"
