Fire at Raymond Corporation causes minor damage

GREENE – The Greene Fire Department successfully extinguished a fire in an air ventilation system before it could deal major damage to the Raymond Corporation building in Greene.


On Tuesday, the fire department in Greene received a call around 11:30 a.m. from dispatch which informed the department smoke was coming from the Raymond Corporation building on Canal Street.


A second call from Greene Fire Department Assistant-Chief, who works at Raymond Corporation, confirmed the presence of smoke.
