Oxford Lions donates to the Blackhawks box program

On Tuesday, March 27, the Oxford Lions invited guest speaker Jeanne Marshman to its meeting to talk about the “Blackhawk Readiness Box Project”, which she initiated two years ago.

The program is aimed at providing pre-school youngsters with materials that will enable them to establish a better foundation for their future learning experiences.

Jeanne explained that the program has reached approximately forty children in each of the last two years. The program is privately funded, with a cost of approximately $175 per student.

Volunteers, questions, and donations can be directed to Jeanne Marshman at 542 Kilroy Rd, Oxford NY, 13830.
