T-Rx 145 robotics earns lottery bid to Championship in Detroit

NORWICH – T-Rx 145 robotics team have earned a lottery bid to compete in the FIRST Robotics Championship in Detroit from April 25 to 28.

The team – comprised of students and mentors from Norwich High School, as well as participants from Sherburne-Earlville, Unadilla Valley, and Gilbertsville-Mount Upton – first learned of their lottery bid conducted by FIRST robotics on March 22.

T-Rx 145 will be one of 113 robotics teams travelling to the motor city to compete in the three-day FIRST Championship.

The lottery bid comes after T-Rx 145 ranked among the top-10 teams overall in the FIRST Power Up Central New York Regional at SUNY Polytechnic Institute from March 1 to 4. Team T-Rx 145 also earned the Imagery Award at the event, which recognized a team that exhibited attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance.
