During this week's alleged assault, the victim suffered injuries to both of his knees during the confrontation requiring medical treatment. He was transported to Chenango Memorial Hospital.

District Attorney Joseph McBride said the fight was a mutual engagement, and some injuries to the victim may not have been directly caused by Daring.

According to court documents, the victim said Daring was dating his ex-girlfriend, and the victim wanted to fight him.

According to the victim, he later saw Daring on a Norwich street and the victim stopped to confront him.

"We began to argue on the phone, and we agreed to fight," the victim told investigators. "I drove down Mitchell Street with a friend..." stated the victim, "we saw Daring and I got out and ran towards the group [he was with]."
