“Meet the Candidates” for Norwich school board on Tuesday

NORWICH – Norwich City School District’s annual “Meet the Candidates” night is scheduled for Tuesday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Organized by Norwich Educators Organization President Eric Cunningham, the “Meet the Candidates” night will allow attendees the opportunity to become better acquainted with the five candidates running for three seats on the school board.
Candidates Brian Burton, Jennifer Collins, Jamie Maistros, Brian Reid, and Herb Ryan have thrown their hats in the ring for a seat on the school board.
Collins is the lone incumbent, as current board members Bob Smith and Joe Stagliano are not seeking re-election.
The school board election, along with the 2018-19 budget vote, will take place on May 15 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
