CHENANGO COUNTY – A heat advisory is in effect in Chenango County through 8 p.m. Monday evening as heat indices are expected to range from 95 to 100 degrees during the afternoon. Thunderstorms are forecast as well.
The advisory takes effect at 10 a.m., and the most oppressive combination of heat and humidity is expected to take place during midday and in the afternoon.
Thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon into the evening. Gusty winds and flash floods are possible.
