Members from the Oxford, Norwich and Town and Country Garden Clubs will be demonstrating a variety of design classes used at the fair. This includes an informal table setting, bed tray and pedestal design.
“Have you always wondered what a “niche,” or “vignette,” design is... Come to the Design Expo. where it will all be explained,” said Holtz.
Holtz said the designs will be done by local, award winning ladies, and attendees will be able to observe the locals assembling the design, ask questions, and begin to think ‘Yes, I can do that.’
“No question is ever considered insignificant,” said Holtz.
This will also be a relaxed time to find out how the trained judges evaluate the designs, how to fill out entry forms and view the Flower Show Schedule. Also available will be refreshments, hand-outs and horticulture division information.
The Flower Show at the County Fair has been sponsored by the Garden Clubs of Chenango Co. for over 40 years and is a recipient of both national and state first place awards. Both the Design Expo and the Flower Show are open to public participation. For further information call Edith Holtz 843-9848.
