Composer George Anderson to perform at Oxford Farmers’ Market
OXFORD —The Oxford Farmers’ Market welcomes back soundtrack composer George Anderson to the stage in Lafayette Park this Saturday, June 30, 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Anderson is a favorite of Market customers, playing mostly his original instrumentals on six- and twelve-string guitars, the Dobro (steel resonator guitar), acoustic, electric-acoustic and solid body-electric guitars as well as keyboards. Among his many achievements, George Anderson has composed music and lyrics for film, TV, and radio, and is also a published author. His business, AnderSongs, is based in New Berlin, NY.
All events at the Oxford Farmers’ Market are free and open to the public.
The Oxford Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. The onset of summer is bringing on an abundance of locally-grown produce, from lettuce to mushrooms to broccoli to strawberries.
Also available are plants, plant starts, flowers, herbs, fresh eggs, dairy products, chicken, Cornish hen, rabbit, lamb, maple syrup, honey, preserves, a wide variety of fresh-baked breads, pies, cookies and cakes, hand-made soaps and body products, locally-raised alpaca and wool, and an array of handcrafted items from notecards to jewelry to wooden crafts and furniture.
All products at the Oxford Farmers’ Market are made by neighbors you can meet, hands you can shake.
