Norwich raid concludes with two felony drug arrests

NORWICH – Two individuals were charged of possessing crack cocaine and heroin on Saturday after police executed a no-knock search warrant on a Mitchell Street apartment.

Kodi Glenn, 21, of New York City, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and first-degree criminal nuisance, a class E felony.

Linda S. Murray, 54, of Norwich, was charged with first-degree criminal nuisance, a class E felony.

“Crack cocaine, heroin, and cash was recovered during the execution of the search warrant," said Norwich Police Department Chief Rodney Marsh.

According to the police, Glenn possessed and sold drugs from a Mitchell Street residence in the city. Police also said Murray lived at the apartment.

“This was another successful joint investigation conducted by the Norwich Police Department and the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office," said Marsh.

In a statement, the Norwich Police Department said the search warrant was signed by City Court Judge Michael Genute, and both suspects were arraigned by the court Saturday afternoon.

Both defendants were remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility. Glenn was remanded on $50,000 bail, and Murray on $10,000 bail.

They are scheduled to return to City of Norwich Court at a later date.
