EDMESTON – The Unadilla Valley Storm golfers picked up where they left off last season, winning their first match of the new year 262-270 over Harpursville/Afton.

Gavin Church of the Storm totaled a 51 for the day but his match was highlighted by his first birdie of his high school career during league play on the second hole.

The nine-hole, par 36 course saw Harpursville/Afton’s Logan Culver shoot a 45, the lowest score of the MAC league match. UV’s Andrew Jackson finished just two strokes behind Culver with a 47 but was the top golfer for his team.
