Sherburne man charged with driving high after getting into two car accidents

NORWICH – A Sherburne man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving while ability impaired by drugs, crashing his vehicle, leaving the scene of the first accident, and then crashing again.


Kyle Lefever, 32, of Sherburne was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, along with additional vehicle and traffic law violations.


According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, on September 20, while in the Town of Norwich, Lafever was involved in two separate motor vehicle accidents and leaving the scene of the first accident.
