Historical society's annual meeting, presentation postponed

NORWICH – Chenango County Historical Society's annual membership meeting scheduled for Thursday night will be postponed until Thursday, November 29 due to impending inclement weather.

Henry J. Drexler's presentation, "Off the Beaten Path," which was scheduled to take place during the annual meeting, is also postponed until Nov. 29, said Chenango County Historical Society Board Member John Antonowicz.

The society's annual membership meeting will take place at 6 p.m. followed by Drexler's presentation at 7 p.m. on Nov. 29.

Drexler's presentation is set to feature a photographic tour of points of interest along the backroads and byways of Chenango County, looking at local waterfalls, old mills, abandoned houses, old barns, remnants of the Chenango Canal, some of Drexler's favorite Elm trees, and more.

The annual membership meeting and Drexler's presentation will take place at the Chenango County Historical Society located at 45 Rexford Street in Norwich. Both the meeting and presentation are free and open to the public to attend.
