Marauders boys bowling stays undefeated with win over Hawkeyes; Storm boys and girls keep record clean

EARLVILLE – The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders boys bowling team remained undefeated on the lanes after their win over Cooperstown Tuesday, claiming all five points in the match.
The Marauders were led by Wyatt Youngs in the Center State Conference Division-II match, bowling a match-high scratch score of 601. His teammate Jacob Jenkins boling the highest single game of the league match by either team, scoring a 222.
Sherburne-Earlville finished with a three game team total of 2834 pins, 582 better than their opponent.
Cooperstown received a team-best scratch series of 524 from Frank Wisley. Wisley also rolled the best single game score by a Hawkeye, finishing one game with a 215.
S-E (7-0, 4-0) looks to keep their record perfect when they travel to Clinton on Thursday for a match at 4 p.m.
Storm boys and girls keep record clean
BAINBRIDGE – Both the Unadilla Valley boys and girls bowling teams have yet to lose a match this season and continued their undefeated record Tuesday night with a win over the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats.
The Storm’s boys team swept all points in the match while the girls lost their first game of the season. UV, however, still won the match as they claimed three of the four points scored in the match.
Unadilla Valley boys were led by Nick Guller, who recorded the best series score of the match with a 609, as well as the highest single game score of 220. Guller bowled the highest score in each of the three games.
The Storm team saw a 544 from Will Rumovicz, a 542 from Volin Grant, a 525 from Owen Hill and a 497 by Brandon Kneale. The top five bowlers finished with a team series score of 2717 while the Bobcats totaled a 2115.
B-G’s top bowler was Dadeon Canfield, rolling both a team-best 516 scratch series and single game 189.
The Bobcats’ Evan Seymour bowled the next best score of 439 while John England finished the match with a 402. Teammate Thomas Lord rolled a 384 and Collin Dicks rounded out the Bainbridge-Guilford top five with a 374.
On the girls side, UV’s team pin count was just nine pins better than B-G to win the fourth point and the match.
The Lady Bobcats stole the second game, putting pressure on the Storm in the third game to keep a perfect record for the season.
Paige Catena of Unadilla Valley bowled a 191 and 190 as two of the highest single game score from the match and rolled a 531 for the best scratch series. Teammate Whitney Rogers scored a 191 in game two for the Storm and bowled the second highest series, recording a 455.
Gracie Oglesby ended the match with a 394 while Brenna Thall finished with a 387. Cat Livingston’s 370 aided in the win for the Storm.
B-G was led by Catherine Fuller’s 466, which included a 176 for the team’s highest score. Aubrey Bronson series score of 463 and Jez Sherman’s 445 helped the Bobcats keep the match close.
Alexis Gombach rolled a 393 and Mariah Olcott finsihed with a 361 for Bainbridge-Guilford’s final two of the top five.
Unadilla Valley heads to Hancock on Thursday for a match of the unbeaten teams in the MAC while B-G hosts Afton/Harpursville on Friday. Both matches are scheduled to take the lanes at 3:45 p.m.
