SAME organization invites public to Art and Music Expo

NORWICH – Norwich's Support Arts and Music Education (SAME) organization is inviting the public to attend its seventh annual Art and Music Expo from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 9.

The event will showcase artwork and musical performances by Norwich City School District students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade at the United Church of Christ.

The event will include a silent auction consisting of artwork, gift baskets, and services donated by private parties and Norwich City School District art and music educators.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit NHS Art and Music Senior Award recipients, NCSD Art Show awardees, along with other student art and music initiatives.

SAME is an art and music advocacy group comprised of art and music educators, parents, and community members. Formed eight years ago, its goal is to support art and music education in the Norwich City School District.

Refreshments will be served at the Art and Music Expo. The show is free to attend, but free-will donations to support art and music initiatives at NCSD are appreciated.

The United Church of Christ is located at 11 West Main Street in Norwich.
