Missed shots lead to S-E loss on the road to Indians
SAUQUOIT – Another rough shooting night from the field for the Lady Marauders led to a four point loss on the road to Sauquoit Valley Thursday night.
Kaitlyn Furner’s 10 points in the first quarter helped Sherburne-Earlville hold the advantage in their favor by four points.
The host Indians rallied for 20 points in the second behind Jayna Inglis’ eight points to go into the halftime break leading by six points.
To start the second half, the Marauders’ Tessa Cole paced the offense with seven as S-E chipped away at the lead and pulled within two points with just eight minutes left to play.
Barely outscoring Sherburne-Earlville in the fourth, Sauquoit Valley won the final stanza with a score of 12-10 to hold on for the win.
