Chenango Change to hold first meeting of 2019 Wednesday

NORWICH – After a winter break, Chenango Change will reconvene for its first meeting of 2019 at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night with Upstate NY Organizer for the Indivisible Project Sarah Reeske and Chenango County Board of Elections Democratic Commissioner Carol Franklin.

The meeting is free and open to the public and will take place at the United Church of Christ in Norwich. This month, Reeske will speak about the Indivisible Project and the Chenango Change group, and Franklin will discuss new election laws and their impact on Chenango County.

Chenango Change is a registered Indivisible group, which serves to be "...an inclusive, grassroots movement of engaged citizens committed to providing Chenango County with opportunities and ideas that promote progressive values through community education, mobilization, and political action."

The group now meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Norwich. For more information about Chenango Change, email chenangochange@gmail.com, or visit its Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram page.

The Indivisible Project's mission is "...to cultivate a grassroots movement of literally thousands local Indivisible groups to elect progressive leaders, realize bold progressive policies, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda."
