BAINBRIDGE – Truth Pharm's first regularly scheduled meeting in Chenango County is tonight in Bainbridge and officials encourage citizens interested in learning more about substance abuse to attend.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at 1 Church Street in Bainbridge.

According to their mission statement, Truth Pharm is a non-profit organization raising awareness, reducing the stigma, and advocating for policy change to reduce the harms of substance abuse. It states the organization prefers to recognize there will always be people who abuse substances, and it's important to try to reduce the harms associated with it.

To help address increased substance abuse concerns in Chenango County, the non-profit will meet to discuss its Community Response Action Plan, and work with a group of people from the Bainbridge, Guilford, Afton areas that have branded themselves as Southern Chenango County Recovery Resources (SCCRR).
