Norwich Easter Egg hunt

NORWICH – The Norwich Fire Department Maydole Volunteer Company held its annual Easter Egg Hunt in Norwich on Saturday.

According to Maydole Company Chief Pat Ford, on Saturday at around 9:30 a.m., members of the Maydole Hose Company set out for the City of Norwich’s West and East parks to hide 5,000 Easter eggs filled with toys and other treats.

Ford said over a hundred four-year-old children started in the West Park at 10 a.m., and five through eight-year-old children to start in the East Park at 10:15 a.m.

He added the egg hunt wouldn’t have been possible without the community’s support, and urged anyone interested in helping the community to consider filling out an application to become a volunteer fire fighter. (Frank Speziale photos)
