NORTH NORWICH – A 89-year-old woman from Sherburne was sent to Chenango Memorial Hospital on Monday morning after her vehicle rolled into an embankment on County Route 32.

According to New York State Troop C Public Information Officer Aga Dembinska, a report of the accident was received at approximately 8:53 a.m. Monday morning, with the vehicle facing southbound upon arrival.

Dembinska said based on the report it appears the driver was headed northbound on Country Road 32 in North Norwich before she lost control of the vehicle, rolled off of the road, and found herself facing southbound. No one else was in the vehicle.

"The woman didn't appear to be injured, but was sent to Chenango Memorial Hospital to be examined just to be safe," she said. "There haven't been any charges filed at this time."
