Norwich native begins final year of master’s degree program

NORWICH – Nicole Mealey, a resident of Norwich, and a student at King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., recently began her final year of study as part of the Physician Assistant master’s degree program.

According to King’s College Director of Public Relations John M. McAndrew, Mealey’s final year of study will consist of a series of clinical rotations including a twelve-week rotation in family medicine and separate six-week rotations in medical specialties.

McAndrew said Mealey will training in medical specialties including emergency medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and general surgery will conclude with her graduation from the program in August 2020.

He added that other students will be completing rotations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Texas, South Carolina, Illinois, Virginia, Florida, Arkansas, Maryland, and Wisconsin.
