Plymouth mother indicted following drug allegations

NORWICH – Three people were indicted last week for felony crimes including criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance, along with grand larceny.

Kelli K. Johnson, 35, of Plymouth was indicted on fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

According to her indictment, at approximately 12:56 p.m., on June 25, in the Town of Plymouth, Johnson, while acting in concert with another, possessed around 16 ounces of methamphetamine with the intent to sell it. The indictment states Johnson acted in a way that would likely cause injury to the physical, mental, or moral welfare of a child under the age of 17 by subjecting the child to meth.

Chenango County Sheriff Ernest Cutting reported that Johnson's arrest came after a lengthy investigation and no-knock search warrant execution.

"The search warrant, signed by Honorable Frank B. Revoir Jr, Chenango County Court Judge, stemmed from an investigation involving the distribution of crystal methamphetamine from within the residence," said Cutting. "The City of Norwich Police Department assisted with the lengthy investigation and execution of the search warrant."

He said while executing the search warrant, the Sheriff’s Office recovered crystal methamphetamine, packaging material, digital scales, cash, and several firearms.

Shakir X. Elliott, 30, of Utica was indicted on third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and first-degree criminal nuisance, a class E felony.

During the month of February, while in the City of Norwich, Elliott allegedly sold heroin. The indictment states Elliot sold heroin at 25 Clinton Street in Norwich, and that Elliot worked with another person, allowing the sale of heroin at the residence for monetary gain.

Jeffrey S. Wilson was indicted on third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

Allegedly, during the month of November in 2018, while in the Village of Sherburne, Wilson stole an antique wooden bar and top, assorted copper, shelving, and a welder belonging to the Sherburne Inn. The indictment states that the property has an approximate value of over $3,000.
