Improve Norwich Now wants to help build community

NORWICH – A nonprofit named Improve Norwich Now is seeking to enhance its community by advocating for area residents to go to Norwich Copies Plus on Thursday to help support local business.
Improve Norwich Now (I.N.N.) is a locally-born initiative focused on enhancing its community in order to improve the quality of life for residents. The organization has joined with local business owners and vendors to bring a new offering to Norwich on Thursday evenings.
According to I.N.N. Co-founders Jen Westervelt and Brandon Clarke, everyone is invited to invest in local business and shop at the “607 I.N.N. Co-Op” in front of the Cook Building, also known as Norwich Copies Plus, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Enjoy background music from the Summer Concert Series while checking out an array of local products, including handmade wooden signs and decorative items, soy candles, dairy products, homemade baked goods, fresh herbs, jewelry, all-natural cosmetics, fresh vegetables (when available), and more.
Each week, the offerings are expanding, and I.N.N is open to welcoming even more vendors. For updated vendor info, keep checking the Improve Norwich Now Facebook page.
Cook Building Co-Owner Chris Hayes spoke about the group and said, “As a downtown building owner and part owner of Norwich Copies Plus, I’m excited to partner with I.N.N. and any other viable entity that’s interested in improving our community. If providing a little sidewalk space gives area residents easy access to high quality local products and services, then I’m happy to help. Having meaningful activity on our sidewalks makes for a vibrant and interesting downtown, and I’m “All INN” for that, too.”
