Bulldogs end Bobcats streak at three in 5-3 victory
DELHI – Trailing 3-0 after the first half, Bainbridge-Guilford made it a game after scoring three goals in the second half against the Delhi Bulldogs. The host Bulldogs, despite allowing the Bobcats back into the contest during the second half, held on for the win as they tacked on another two goals in the second half to make Friday’s final score 5-3.
B-G’s Ryan Porter added another two goals to his already high season goal, giving him 12 in just four games of the 2019 season. Teammate Owen Walley scored a goal for the Bobcats while Seamus Nolan served up an assist to one of the three B-G goals.
Delhi’s Zack Finch led the offensive attack as he came away with two goals and two assists in the win. Alex Imperi found the back of the net twice while Christian Imperi added another.
The Bulldogs’ assist man for the game was Brandon Bodo, recording two and colleague Aiden Taoli delivered a scoring pass of his own.
Delhi outshot the Bobcats 21-6 and were awarded five corners. B-G was allotted just two corners throughout the contest.
Seeing a high amount of shots between the posts for the Bobcats was Zach Graham as he came away with nine saves.
The Bulldogs used two goalies in the win with Ben Blocker making two saves and Logan Bryan stopping three.
Bainbridge-Guilford travels to Walton on Monday for a 4:30 p.m. game time.
