Norwich golf ends regular season with a home win over Yellowjackets

ONEONTA – The Tornado Golfers completed the regular season with the 262-278 win over Oneonta, finishing the year at 3-9, at Canasawacta Country Club on the back nine holes.
Parker Walsh and Cameron Birtch both earned top medalist honors for Norwich, each scoring a 43 or 8 strokes over the par 35 for the back nine.
Next on the scorecard was the Tornado’s Max Marson, shooting a 48 for the round as he aided in the win. Logan Waters continued to improve for the Norwich team, carding a 58. Jacob Dowdall rounded out the top five for the home team, turning in a 70 for the nine-holes.
Seamus Catella paced Oneonta with a score of 50 to lead his team during the Tuesday afternoon match – also the last of the regular season for the Yellowjackets.
Max Gelbsman was second on the team with a 52 and was followed by Cameron Sitts’ 56. Ethan Dugan shot a 57 and Kevin Kurkowski finished with a 63.
