GREENE – This weekend The Impact Project will pour concrete with volunteers from Curtis Lumber to build a handicap ramp and sidewalk for a struggling homeowner in Greene.

According to The Impact Project Founder Jim Willard III, Edward “Jack” Najarian is a senior citizen living in Greene that struggles with getting in and out of his home.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday of this week, over 20 Curtis Lumber employees will be working at 5 Jeffrey Heights in Greene where Narjarian resides to build the ramp.

“Being in a wheelchair for the last 3 years and living in a home with no handicap accessibility it's been real tough,” Willard added. “He doesn’t have the skills, physical ability nor the financial resources to fix the problem.”

He said Najarian and his children have tried several agencies and other options for assistance, but were unsuccessful.
