Trojans downed for the first time this season in conference play

DELHI – Four second-half goals gave the host Delhi Bulldogs the upset Midstate Athletic Conference win, knocking off the league leading Greene Trojans Wednesday afternoon. The win for Delhi ended the Trojans’ perfect record in league play this season.

Greene’s Alec Frair and Scout McCumiskey connected for the first goal of the game, giving Greenethe lead to defend for the rest of the game.

The Bulldogs, who sit right behind the Trojans in the MAC standings, tallied four unanswered goals in the second – all scored by different Delhi players.

Paul Vickers, Aidan Paoli, Christian Imperi and Vincent Van Maren each recorded a goal in the substantial home victory for the Bulldogs as they scored on nearly half of their chances throughout the game.

Keeper Nick Shoemaker made five saves for Greene, defending off other shot opportunities taking by Delhi. His opposition and Bulldogs goalie, Logan Bryan, recorded six saves for the win.
